Highlights.

Pulse Width Modulation

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Controlling each nozzle with an individual pulsing valve Raven Hawkeye PWM allows users to specify pressure, application rate and droplet sizing from the cab. These are maintained regardless of forward speed to ensure precise targeted applications at all times. Built in turn compensation prevents under and over dosing across the whole boom.

ePlumbing

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Designed in house, Chafer ePlumbing offers touch button control of liquid flows from the cab seat and the operators station. Fully automated filling, rinsing and dilution systems maximise efficiency by reducing down time and removing the chance of error.

Norac UC7 Active Roll

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Coupled with our new boom centre frames, Norac UC7 offers the most advance levelling system available, ensuring boom height is maintained regardless of topography to minimise drift and maximise product efficacy. Available in 3 or 5 sensor versions, UC7 utilises ultrasonics and accelerometers to control the boom using the independent incline cylinders and the centre frame itself.

Plumbing Options

ePlumbing

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Designed in house, Chafer ePlumbing touch button control of liquid flows from the cab seat and the operators station. Fully automated filling, rinsing and dilution systems maximise efficiency by reducing down time and removing the chance of error.

AirPurge

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Aimed at reducing wash out times and chemical dead volumes, AirPurge uses compressed air to expel the maximum amount of liquid from the plumbing and spray lines at the end of a tank load. AirPurge can be used with the machine stationary, or on the move in the field, while still utilising auto section control for precise application.

Fast Filling Port

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

All Chafer crop sprayers are fitted with a hydraulically driven pump capable of filling at speeds of up to 800l/m (on a 3″ coupling). Where additional capacity is required, a fast fill port can be specified to allow direct filling of the spray tank from an external pump. Available in 2″ and 3″ versions.

Hydraulic Pressure Washer

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Specified in place of the standard wash down reel, a hydraulically driven pressure washer allows thorough cleaning of the machine without any additional equipment, keeping chemical residue in the field or in bonded areas.

General Options.

Workstation

  • Standard

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Fitted as standard to all trailed and self propelled models, a 10W LED light is provided above the workstation to illuminate the hopper and control valves. The light is controlled from the external control panel.

Road Hazard Lights

  • Standard

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

To ensure our machines are visible during transport, sprayers are fitted with twin flashing LED lights on the rear facing centre frame cover. These hazard lights flash at different rates to prevent confusing with indicators.

FieldVision Boom Lighting

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Utilising powerful 40W LED lights with a pencil beam pattern, the spray pattern is illuminated ensuring the operator can check nozzle function at all times of day and night. Lights are mounted to the inner frames to follow boom attitude changes.

FieldVision Machine Lighting

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Wide angle 50W Nordic LED lights are fitted to the front frame offering panoramic illumination when the booms are open, helping to spot potential hazards that are out of the normal range of tractor unit lighting systems.

Additional Road Lighting

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Fitted as standard to self propelled models and available as an option on trailed machines, an additional set of road lights are fitted to the rear mudguards. Popular with users who frequently use busy highways for improved braking and indicator visibility.

Boom Mud Guarding

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Available across the range of Chafer booms, these flexible covers prevent soil building up on the boom and spray line when running the boom at low levels during pre emergence sprays. Quick release fixings offer simple removal when required.

Mud Flaps – Short

  • Standard

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

Chafer branded wide mud flaps are fitted as standard across the trailed and self propelled ranges, providing protection to the vehicle and booms.

Mud Flaps – Long

  • Option

  • Trailed

  • Self Propelled

A longer version of the Chafer mud flap can be fitted to either trailed or self propelled models. Longer flaps are fitted with anti-sway bars to prevent contact with the sprayer’s tyre.

Self Propelled Specific.

Grammer Actimo Evolution Seat

  • Option

  • Self Propelled

Improving on the features of the Active XL, the Evolution models offers operators increased comfort via additional automated adjustability, active heating and cooling along with further cushioning. When the Evolution model is specified, a Chafer branded buddy seat and leather steering wheel are provided.

Lightweight Trailer Towing Eye

  • Option

  • Self Propelled

Designed for towing a lightweight trailer, the retractable towing eye allows growers to move additional capacity around with them. A ratchet system is used for easy stowage to ensure late season crop clearance, with the assembly being pinned in both positions for security.

Cab Step Extension

  • Option

  • Self Propelled

To improve access on larger diameter wheels, a bolt on extension can be fitted to the Interceptor’s folding step.

Hydraulic Track Adjustment

  • Option

  • Interceptor Only

Controlled from the operators seat, the system automatically positions the axles to achieve the desired track width. Operators simply input the desired width into the in-cab dash, drive forward and the system will confirm the width is achieved.

Trailed Specific Options.

Hitch Options

  • Option

  • Trailed

Along side the standard ring hitch, trailed sprayers can be supplied with a wide variety of hitch types, all fitting to the universal drawbar. Options such as the Scharmuller/K80 ball hitch are popular, due to the more positive connection between sprayer and tractor. Machines are always delivered with the standard ring hitch fitted, and the special hitch supplied as a spare part.

Stainless Steel Under Guarding

  • Option

  • Trailed

Available on the Guardian and Sentry trailed, stainless steel guarding provides a smooth surface to minimise crop damage from the underside of the sprayer. Covering the main chassis and suspended axle, access is provided to allow draining of the main spray tank.

Central Tyre Inflation

  • Option

  • Trailed – Sentry & Sentry +

Available on our Sentry models, Central Tyre Inflation allows the operator to vary tyre pressures on the move between the road and field, allowing safe road travel while fully laden, and low in field pressures for minimum ground pressures. Air is transferred through the stub axle, with no exposed drop hoses.

Tractor Mudguard

  • Option

  • Trailed

Our 3 point linkage mounted mudguard is designed to protect the front end of a trailed sprayer from mud and debris from the rear of the tractor. Available in kit form, the mudguard features a shaped mounting bracket, providing room for the sprayers hydraulic and electrical connections. Each section can be modified to suit, with the maximum width of each guard/flap being 800mm.
