An exciting role in a friendly, progressive company developing market leading machinery for agricultural and industrial applications. We design and develop our products and systems in-house. From mechanical components, through hydraulics and electrical systems to the software that will control them.
We are expanding our team of skilled engineers to further develop existing products and create new ones to meet the ever evolving demands of our customers.
The right candidate will work as part of a strong group of engineers who love the challenges of engineering and drive projects through from start to finish with a mentality of continuous improvement. You will also be required to work on your own initiative and be able to engineer solutions for test from an outline brief.Â
You will work on designing, developing and testing new ideas and work on multiple projects across our complete machine range. You will work on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems. Work will be split across developing refinements and updates for existing products and hands-on prototype building and testing for new products.
Other roles include visiting customer sites in the UK, problem troubleshooting and working with other departments within the company to share ideas and gather feedback on systems to further enhance their operation.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to learn fast and make an impact on the projects they are involved with. Expect to play a key role in the future development of systems and equipment at Chafer.
Experience of off-highway powertrain, hydraulic and electrical systems are essential. Experience of working within agriculture is also a strong advantage. Knowledge of PLC programming platforms is also an advantage.
