Agroband

Horstine Agroband can be used for fertiliser placement or for bed top application of fertiliser during potato crop establishment. Fertiliser is delivered from the 800L translucent hopper to the outlets using gravity rather than a pneumatic fan, reducing cost and keeping the applicator simple. Agroband can precisely apply cheaper grades of solid fertiliser, maximising yield potential and keeping establishment costs in check.

Uses

Mounted on the three point linkage at the front of the tractor, Agroband has become a byword for simple, accurate application of solid and bulk fertilisers during planting. Agroband is available in two versions:

Placement below and to the side of the tuber
Bed top applications

Key Features

Individual Metering

Horstine’s precision metering system provides extremely accurate application, with each product outlet being fed by its own individual rotor. This system of metering guarantees application accuracy across the full width of the implement.

Simple Landwheel Drive

For fit and forget accuracy, Agroband comes standard with a land wheel drive to ensure applications are correct regardless of forward speed. Once setup this system will continue to apply the correct rate with minimal input from the operator.

Auto Rate Control

The Horstine Wizard application controller can be fitted and is used to compensate for changes in forward speed. Wizard also allows he application rate to be changed quickly, adjusting fertiliser rates to suit soil conditions (Variable Rate option available).

Gravity Delivery

Fertiliser is delivered from the 800L translucent hopper to the individual outlets using gravity rather than a pneumatic fan. This reduces costs and keeps the applicator simple, ensuring reliability and low running costs.
