We have an exciting permanent full time opportunity to join the business in an After Sales Support/Engineer (North) role, working alongside our sales and engineering teams to support our great range of products. At Chafer we are a real team where no one is a number and everyone is made to feel a part of something special, with a role that you won’t find anywhere else. 

 The role day to day is:

  • Providing technical support and training for our dealers and end users. You would become the technical point of reference for Chafer and Horstine products. 
  • There would be time spent supporting the Sales and Marketing team with shows and demonstrations.
  • There would also be time spent assisting the Engineering and Design Department with development and testing 

To join our team applicants should: 

  • Have 4 years+ experience in an Agricultural or Construction Plant service engineer role. 
  • Have diagnostic skills in vehicle hydraulics, electrics and pneumatics 
  • Enjoy learning new skills and keeping up with latest technology 
  • Be self motivated, have good timekeeping and great attention to detail 
  • Have great communication skills, enjoy meeting and talking to new people 
  • Be computer literate and have experience with service tools, Microsoft Office and accounts systems. 
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team 
  • Willing to travel (including overnight stays)
  • Live in a commutable distance to Chafer Machinery ideally in the north of the country. For the first 6 months a good period of the working week will be spent at Chafer, after this period you could be required at Chafer at least once a fortnight.
