Liquid fertilizer band sprayer for oilseed rape establishment
Chafer QuickStart applies a precise band of liquid fertilizer in front of the subsoiler leg or tine when establishing oilseed rape in bands behind a cultivator. Applying fertilizer in narrow bands places nutrients in the area where they are needed most and encourages strong tap root development. The system also allows growers to significantly reduce fertiliser rates and to comply with NVZ regulations. Avoiding feeding the weeds between the rows will also reduce competition for nutrients and therefore potentially cut back on herbicide use.
